ACC-U-SOUND · Pyramidal shaped diffuser
PSD is a lay-in ceiling diffuser family offered in published ABS and molded-fiberglass modules. Coordinate material, depth, grid fit, finish and optional backing.
PSD product role
PSD uses a molded pyramidal form with a flat perimeter flange for lay-in ceiling-grid installation.
The current source publishes one ABS size and three fiberglass sizes, plus optional 2-inch internal fiberglass on the back side. Material, depth, finish and grid module must be coordinated together.

The drawing is a typical-size reference. Confirm the selected material, module and actual dimensions before ceiling coordination.
Configuration ledger
The ABS and fiberglass options do not share the same published sizes. Select the material before locking the reflected ceiling plan.

The nominal modules coordinate the ceiling layout. They do not by themselves establish diffusion performance for a project.

No diffusion or scattering coefficient is published in the current source. Request the evidence required by the acoustic design for the selected material, size and backing.
The source describes an “ASTM-84 Tunnel Test” and reports flame spread below 24 / Class A or I. Request the current ASTM E84 report for the selected ABS or fiberglass shell, finish and optional backing.
Application planning
The source defines a lay-in ceiling product but does not publish a room-type list. Selection should follow acoustic criteria, grid coordination and plenum conditions.
Documents & coordination
The current PSD PDF is dated by its upload path and provides a concise geometry reference. Obtain current material, support, performance and fire evidence before specification.
Request current project documentsThe current PSD page and May 2025 PDF publish geometry and materials but no diffusion coefficient, scattering coefficient, NRC value, mounting-load data or frequency-specific performance table.
Record the selected construction, dimensions, finish and mounting together. Request current acoustic, fire and installation evidence that matches that assembly.
Confirm field dimensions, substrate or structure, penetrations, adjacent systems, installer scope and access requirements before fabrication or procurement.
PSD questions
Use the published information to frame product review, then verify the exact assembly and evidence with QTS.
The current source identifies the nominal 24 × 24 × 8.5-inch module as ABS. The three larger published modules are fiberglass.
No. It is a typical drawing for a 48 × 48-inch pyramid. Confirm actual dimensions for the selected material and module.
The source describes it as optional. Confirm whether it is part of the selected assembly and request matching evidence.
Not on the current public page or PDF. Request current supporting data if the acoustic design requires one.
Provide the reflected ceiling plan, grid module, plenum depth, structure and support, services, access needs, proposed locations and acoustic criteria.
