ACC-U-SOUND · Low-density baffle / banner
LDB uses a semi-rigid low-density core, sewn edges and grommet mounting. Its scale, finishes and construction are different from the rigid HB baffle family.
LDB product role
The published LDB family uses a 1½, 2 or 3 PCF semi-rigid fiberglass core and can be made in custom sizes up to 4 × 25 feet.
Natural sewn edges, several published covering families and grommet attachment distinguish LDB from rigid wrapped baffles. The final suspension, sag, orientation and service coordination need project-specific review.

The product reference shows the format and grommet suspension concept. Confirm the current cover, shape and hanging detail.
Configuration ledger
LDB’s long format makes layout and suspension part of the product decision. Coordinate the treatment against structure, services and the occupied zone.

Published acoustic reference
The product sheet lists a 1½-inch thickness but does not assign it an NRC value. No intermediate value is inferred.

Request the current ASTM C423 evidence for the selected core density, thickness, cover and hanging configuration.
The source states a Class A fire rating per ASTM E84 but does not map that statement to every listed cover. Confirm current fire-test documentation for the exact cover and assembly.
Published applications
QTS publishes LDB for large or active interiors where a suspended, banner-scale treatment may be appropriate.
Documents & coordination
Because the published LDB PDF is a concise one-page reference, supplement it with current cover, fire, acoustic and suspension information before specification or procurement.
Request current project documentsThe current LDB PDF is a one-page product sheet rather than a detailed written specification. It does not publish full suspension, tolerance or finish-test details. Request current project-specific documentation.
Record the selected construction, dimensions, finish, edge and mounting together. Request samples and current acoustic and fire-test documentation that match that assembly.
Confirm field dimensions, substrate or structure, penetrations, adjacent systems, installer scope and access requirements before fabrication or procurement.
LDB questions
Use the published information to frame product review, then verify the exact assembly and evidence with QTS.
LDB uses a low-density semi-rigid core, sewn cover and grommet mounting in sizes up to 4 × 25 feet. HB uses a rigid 6–7 PCF core and a factory-installed specialized bracket.
The current product sheet lists the thickness but does not publish an NRC value for it. Request the applicable test report.
The source does not establish that. Confirm fire-test documentation for the exact PVC, sailcloth, vinyl or customer-specified fabric.
The public sheet identifies grommets but does not define the complete suspension scope. Coordinate hanging material, structure and installer responsibilities with QTS and the project team.
Show banner dimensions, elevation, orientation, spacing, structure, hanger points, sprinklers, lighting, air distribution, access and occupied clearances.
